The Property

The Cabin offers surprisingly large but cosy accommodation. It is very spacious (1200sq ft), fully equipped and very comfortably furnished and decorated.
You enter into a boot-room and large hall leading to the large L - shaped open plan living, dining and kitchen area. The lounge area has a wood-burning fire with an exposed flue, two enormous sofas (comfortably seating 8), attractive lighting, a Flat screen television with Freesat channels and a DVD player. In addition the property is gas centrally heated throughout although the log burner is so efficient that it is rarely needed. A huge rustic timber dining table and chairs stands by the large French windows that lead out to the deck and the garden. There are a number of games, books and leaflets about the local area and Wi-fi internet is available. All the rooms are timber lined.
The family bathroom has a corner bath and power shower, WC and basin.

The kitchen is fully equipped with crockery, glassware, pots, pans, cutlery etc and a double sink and drainer. There is a full-size gas oven, four ring gas hob, microwave oven, under-counter sized fridge and a half-size freezer. Also a brand new washing machine and full-size dishwasher, 4 slice Toaster, Kettle and kitchen scales. There is a serving area at the end of the kitchen. The kitchen window and French doors overlook the ever-popular bird table.

The master bedroom has it's own ensuite power shower cubicle, WC and basin. A brand new pine double bed, chest of drawers, full-length mirror and side tables with lamps. There is an airing cupboard in the ensuite and a clothes cupboard in the bedroom.
The second bedroom has a brand new pine double bed, chest of drawers, full-length mirror and bedhead and table lamps.
The third bedroom has adult-sized twin bunks with under drawers and a full-length mirror. All the bedrooms have stripped pine floors and rugs.

As with all holiday rental properties we ask you to bring sheets, pillow cases, duvet covers and towels. We can supply all of these if you're coming by train, bike, foot or from abroad etc for a weekly supplement of £40.00.

In colder weather the cabin is very well insulated and draughtproofed and retains the warmth through it's timber construction. The wood - burning fire uses logs or coal which are available locally. Please note : the fire gets very hot and in operation needs to be opened with the glove supplied and is not ideal to use with young children.

We're very sorry to say that we cannot accommodate pets and there is a strict no smoking policy throughout the Cabin.

The changeover day is Saturday and we ask holidaymakers to vacate by 10am, and to arrive after 3.00pm. to give the cleaners time to prepare the property.

Please contact us through the contact form if you require any further information.
